Ventana develops an adaptation kit for the “easybreath” mask

Our entity of the Mechanics division based in Sousse, alongside the regional hospital and in partnership with local companies, has developed an adaptation kit for the use of the Decathlon mask for medical use. We machine the connection fittings between the mask and the ventilation tubes free of charge. This local solution replaces the part printed in 3D in Europe which is impossible to supply or produce in Tunisia.

Voice assistants – interview Christophe Richard

Voice assistants and other robots and artificial intelligence, are technologies that evolve very quickly and that increasingly rock our society. Ventana has taken up the challenge of setting up one in its workshops in order to improve the operators’ efficiency and facilitate still very manual work. Tested on three workstations at the start of 2019, this technology should evolve the approach to industrial trades in the near future.

Deployment of digital radiography at VENTANA Arudy

The industrial metamorphosis of the site, which began in 2016, is continuing with the acquisition of a latest-generation digital radiography machine that can control large parts.

As part of its commitment to always provide better service to customers, the Ventana group is continuing to develop the Arudy plant. Already equipped with a 3D printer, non-contact measurement systems, digital data acquisition and manufacturing systems, this forward-thinking foundry, now also has a digital radiography unit. This new, non-destructive control device uses AI software designed to address the complexity of the products we manufacture.

This is our response to the inevitable developments in the requirements of the markets in which we operate.

EOLE, a new collaborative and innovative project for VENTANA

Ventana helped manufacture an aircraft maintenance door which was presented at the International Paris Air Show 2017.

The project, named EOLE, was headed by Sogeclair in collaboration with CTIF and Voxeljet. It showcased the advantages of 3D printing whilst making use of qualified materials and processes. The door’s design was optimised to make a lightweight architecture that is able to incorporate complex elements.

Ventana’s lost wax process was used to obtain a thin-walled casting with excellent surface condition and controlled tolerances and material integrity, which makes it easier to carry out final machining on the part.

The project looks set to provide a 30% reduction in weight, reduce costs and allow for flexibility in design and manufacturing for prototypes and mass production, which can then be transposed to structures larger than 2 metres.

Bpifrance selects VENTANA for its ISE Accelerator programme

VENTANA has been selected for the first “ISE Accelerator” programme along with 22 other French Intermediate Sized Enterprises representing a variety of business sectors. Bpifrance chose these ISEs for its ISE Accelerator programme based on their growth potential and their international goals. VENTANA’s selection means that it will receive tailored support from Bpifrance and its network over a two-year period to help it to significantly expand its growth levers. Through an enlarged range of V-Solutions, more and more customers will benefit from the VENTANA manufacturing processes, increasingly innovative and reliable, perfectly responding to their requirements to market their new products in a very short time.

This programme with help VENTANA to realise its AGILE 2018 strategic plan with particular focus on “stepping up a gear” in terms of external growth and in terms of sales development, digital transformation and governance.

At the launch of this first ISE Accelerator programme on May 25th at the second edition of the Bpifrance Inno Generation event, Fanny Letier (CEO of Bpifrance) stated: “ISEs represent a unique source of employment and pride. Through this programme, Bpifrance aims to promote excellence to help the selected 23 champions to achieve long-term growth and to promote France abroad”. VENTANA Success Story : V-Solutions contribute to the success of General Electric’s 9HA turbine, the most powerful gas turbine in the world

Approached by General Electric in 2011 during the turbine’s design phase, VENTANA was selected for its ability to propose expert sheet metal work and precision machining solutions and was entrusted with the industrialisation and manufacturing of a 16-part cooling kit for the 9HA turbine.

During the development phase, which lasted over a year, sheet metal work, welding, machining and non-destructive testing experts based at a number of VENTANA plants lent their expertise to American and Belfort-born designers at General Electric. The first kit produced using the VENTANA V-Weldmill industrial solution was delivered in November 2012. VENTANA delivered its 7th kit this September and has plans to triple its production in 2017.
