Thanks to their specific know-how, NEXTEAM GROUP and VENTANA form a new group specialized around three axes of expertise: high precision machining (Machining division), foundry (Foundry division), sheet-metal working (Sheet-metal & Welding division).
A new governance
Ludovic ASQUINI is the Chairman of this newly merged Group. the Managing Director is Christophe MAURY and the Deputy Director Generals are: Nicolas BOYER for the Machining division, Vincent TABORIN for the Foundry division, Daniel CHARBONNEL for the Sheet-metal & Welding division. Gérard RUSSO and Guy KILHOFFER continue their involvement as strategic counsellors for the management team.
«The completion of this merger will allow us to deploy a common strategy for the benefit of both our employees and our customers. » says a delighted Ludovic ASQUINI, Chairman of the NEXTEAM GROUP.
« The alliance of two groups with very similar corporate guidelines makes it possible to envisage a rapid integration of both organizations which is fundamental in the current context. » explains Gérard RUSSO, Chairman of VENTANA.
A governance supported by the shareholders of the Nexteam Group. « We are delighted that the merger of Nexteam Group and Ventana has come to fruition and that we are thus contributing to the creation of a major player in the aeronautical industry. Their industrial vision and corporate culture are assets for the necessary consolidation of the aeronautical supply chain in Europe», underlines Damien MARTY of Tikehau Capital’s private equity team.
About this merged Group:

Ventana Foundry Arudy is the first company in the Pyrénées Atlantiques to benefit from state funds for aeronautical and automotive modernization for its R&D project to replace sand in the foundry to resolve the problem of employee exposure to silica and drastically reduce its environmental impact. The Ventana team is up to the challenge. “It’s a 3-year program but we hope to be faster”.
Ventana is opening up to other innovative projects: an artificial intelligence program analyzing the representation, recording and statistical analysis in 3D models of parts, indications detected by digital radio but also by penetrant inspection. “There exists nothing like this in our business field, this is why we decided to invent it” explains Gérard Russo, President of the Ventana Group.
A new trio is being built: Benoit Fliss takes over the Management of Ventana Narcastet, Jérémy Ballihaut becomes Production Manager and David Dziubanowski Quality Manager. We wish them every success in this new adventure.
Ventana Foundry Toulouse is adapting to the current situation linked to # Covid-19: on April 23rd, 2020 a virtual visit of the plant for one of its potential customers was managed by the Plant Director Grégory LARROQUE with the participation of the Casting, Completion and NDC Managers. This new experience was greatly appreciated. Thank you to all the participants of the visit.
The industrial metamorphosis of the site, which began in 2016, is continuing with the acquisition of a latest-generation digital radiography machine that can control large parts.
As part of its commitment to always provide better service to customers, the Ventana group is continuing to develop the Arudy plant. Already equipped with a 3D printer, non-contact measurement systems, digital data acquisition and manufacturing systems, this forward-thinking foundry, now also has a digital radiography unit. This new, non-destructive control device uses AI software designed to address the complexity of the products we manufacture.
This is our response to the inevitable developments in the requirements of the markets in which we operate.
For the third year running, Airbus Helicopters has measured an OTD rate of 100% from VENTANA Arudy. This is great recognition of the thorough work carried out by all the teams at VENTANA to successfully maintain, over time, our position as one of the best major suppliers in the EDPOI perimeter (dynamic systems – castings, forgings, machining and components).
The quality of our relationship, the transparency of our information and the reliability of our commitments also contribute to ensuring VENTANA Arudy’s major customer is fully satisfied.
To sustain its performance, VENTANA is continuing its digital migration by transforming the historic Arudy site into a foundry of the future, in order to make it more agile and to adapt to the ever more demanding needs of high-technology markets.

Through an enlarged range of V-Solutions, more and more customers will benefit from the VENTANA manufacturing processes, increasingly innovative and reliable, perfectly responding to their requirements to market their new products in a very short time.
This programme with help VENTANA to realise its AGILE 2018 strategic plan with particular focus on “stepping up a gear” in terms of external growth and in terms of sales development, digital transformation and governance.
At the launch of this first ISE Accelerator programme on May 25th at the second edition of the Bpifrance Inno Generation event, Fanny Letier (CEO of Bpifrance) stated: “ISEs represent a unique source of employment and pride. Through this programme, Bpifrance aims to promote excellence to help the selected 23 champions to achieve long-term growth and to promote France abroad”. Nicolas Dufourcq (CEO of Bpifrance) added: “We have 24 months to catapult these ISEs into the world of 2030.”
For further details about ISE Accelerator programme :
AGILE2018 builds upon the previous company project (VIA2015) which enabled the group to develop a unique brand and achieve excellent operational results (service level and quality level) in the past three years.
AGILE2018 revolves around 3 strategic aims :
1) REDUCING OUR COSTS to improve our competitiveness and expand our markets,
2) INVESTING IN INNOVATION to increase the efficiency of our manufacturing processes in an ever more socially and environmentally responsible way,
3) GROWING IN MAGNITUDE through accelerated organic and external growth.
VENTANA thereby aims to become an agile group able to anticipate its customer’s needs and seize opportunities in an increasingly turbulent world, as part of a sustainable development approach.
